Hey Everyone. Here comes the first rant of this blog. First, a little background. This whole event took place from around 5 days after my birthday (May 1st) until the later part of July, and the monitor was the Samsung Touch Of Color 22”. SOOOO here is that rant.
So a week into owning this outstanding monitor i notice a small dot in the center of my screen. At first i considered it a stuck pixel and ran some tests on it to fix it. None worked. So finally i worked up enough courage to touch my screen and realized there was an actual chip in it. I called samsung who told me i had a 3 year warranty on it. So they emailed me the label to put on the box and all was well. About 2 weeks after mailing it in i call samsung, the service agents there kept telling me to check my monitors status on the website. The website never changed and the 2 week period samsung said theyd fix it by was over. So it was a saturday and i tried calling but there not open on the weekend….go figure. SO i call monday and i received no help whatsoever. I call tuesday and still receive no help from ethier. Finally wendsday this woman from samsung tells me my monitor is being replaced. I was extatic! But when i asked when id have it by she replied “sometime next week.”
This was rage filling. I finally excepted and waited. Another week goes by so i decide to try again. Everyone i talked to there told me the same thing. There system was down. So i waited and waited and waited on hold for sometimes hours on end! NO LIE! So finally i talk to someone who gave me a serious attitude, which i wasnt thrilled with. And no one would be after an hour on hold…no exageration. So later on in the week i receive an email from a gentleman at samsung telling me that the monitor i was supposed to get is OUT OF STOCK. He said he would be able to send me the same exact one i had except 26”…catch is its “refurbished”. I quickly declined the offer due to the fact what he was offering me was a lower price than the monitor i had bought in the first place. Finally we settled on a full refund and i am still awaiting to see how that goes but i have a funny feeling its not going to turn out well. In short, buying this product could cause a long hassle. In short, DONT BUY THIS
NOTE** I ended up receiving that refund around 3 weeks after promised, and purchased an asus monitor with HDMI and received an Lg flatron for christmas which is an even better monitor then the samsung touch of color.
