Netgear Wg311v3 Problems

Hey again everyone! I think im going to discuss a problem that I have been having with my internet, more specifically my wireless adapter. So would you like to know what really bothers me? When a company (Netgear), makes an extremely functional and relatively inexpensive product (Wg311v3 Wireless Adapter), and decides to only support the product for a little while (Windows 7 64-bit drivers?!!), and decides to forget about it and never acknowledge everyone’s concerns. So allow me to go into a bit of detail. Netgear created a wireless adapter with Marvall Inc, a chipset company, and named it the Wg311v3. The v3 stands for version 3 which means there are 2 other versions before this. If you look into it you will see that there is no v4, so there is nothing newer then this device at this point in time, February 18th, 2010. Now on my computer, and the computer of a few MILLION other people, windows 7 64-bit is my operating system. Now i have a very wire-free house or at least I am trying to, so why not use wireless? I purchased this adapter because my brother and mom both have v3’s running windows xp 32 bit. I figured it would work fine so I spent the 35$ on it and upon placing it in my pci slot i realized windows 7 cant find drivers for it. I say to my self, no problem I will just use the included cd, only problem is, the cd says its only 32 bit drivers. So once again, no problem, I will go check netgears website for the 64 bit drivers on another computer and usb them over to the computer with my netgear card, only to find out, THERE ARE NO 64 BIT DRIVERS! I cant seem to piece together why a company would do that! How could you leave out a sub type of operating system when it is becoming even more popular!! My next post will go into detail of why It still wont work, specifically, Driver Signature Enforcement.
